In the ongoing courses from Monday to Saturday, you will learn the fundamental techniques to design your own jewelry — hands-on, from the first draft to the finished project. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner looking to take your first steps in this craft or an advanced student wanting to deepen your skills.
A goldsmithing course consists of 8 fixed sessions of 3 hours each, which take place on the same day of the week and at the same time with your chosen instructor. You have a total of 10 weeks to complete all units.

Goldsmithing Course Schedule
In the first sessions, you will focus on basic techniques such as sawing and filing. Afterward, you will learn advanced methods such as soldering, forging, annealing, bending, rolling, hammering, and chasing. Building on this, you will develop your own projects and deepen your understanding of the fundamental techniques through independent work.
All essential materials such as saw blades, drill bits, burrs, brass, and solder are included for you in the workshop. Please keep in mind that silver is charged based on usage. You should budget around €100 for the entire course. Incidentally, gold is not used in our beginner courses.
No prior knowledge is required at all — the courses are open to anyone who is interested in manual work and brings patience.
Implementation of individual projects
The following rings were created by Wiebke, Maria, Christina, and Marie in our goldsmithing courses. For each project, the individual work steps and the technical implementation were discussed with the respective instructor and then carried out.
Such elaborate ring projects usually take a longer period of time to complete. Depending on the design and technique, it takes several sessions until a project is finished. Regular course attendance over several months makes it possible to realize your individual designs.

When does a course begin and end?
A goldsmithing course consists of 8 fixed sessions of 3 hours each, which take place on the same day of the week at the same time with your chosen instructor. You have a total of 10 weeks to complete your participation.
The course starts on a set date and ends after ten weeks at the latest. If you would like to continue afterwards, please re-register in good time with the instructor or online, approximately two weeks before the end of the course.
How much do the materials cost?
Silver is charged additionally based on consumption — you can budget approximately €100 for the duration of the course. Please note that material costs are based on the daily rate due to significant market fluctuations.
In our courses for beginners, we work exclusively with silver. Gold is therefore not used, allowing you to focus entirely on the fundamental techniques.
Can I reschedule appointments?
If you should ever become ill or have to miss an appointment, you have a two-week buffer available to make up for the missed sessions. Please inform your course instructor in any case so that they are aware.
Can I cancel my registration?
You can cancel booked workshops or courses up to 4 weeks before the scheduled date. In this case, the course fee already paid will be refunded minus a processing fee of 25%.
If cancellation occurs less than 4 weeks before the date, a refund of the course fee is only possible if you provide a substitute participant to take your place. In this case, the course fee will be transferred to the substitute participant under the same conditions.
Should a workshop or course be unable to take place on the part of coopgold, for instance due to an insufficient number of participants or unforeseeable circumstances, the full course fee will be refunded. No further claims exist in this case.
Cancellation must be made in writing via email to mail@coopgold.de. The time of receipt of your cancellation notice is decisive for compliance with the deadline. The 25% processing fee is charged by coopgold to cover the organizational effort involved in the cancellation.
