Wedding Ring Workshop

Wedding Ring Workshop

In our wedding ring workshop, you will craft your very own personal wedding rings — from the sheet metal and surface design to the final polish.

The course is offered exclusively for two people and includes a prior consultation at the Galerie Schmuck Fritz. During this session, we will individually determine the ring profile, alloy, and other design details.

Subsequently, we will calculate the price of the precious metal, which is determined daily due to significant market fluctuations. Based on this, the required material will be ordered within 24 hours and must be paid for in full within that timeframe.

The actual workshop lasts about five hours and takes place in our jewelry studio at the Aufbau Haus. No prior craftsmanship experience is required — just an interest in the craft and a desire to create something of your own.

Information about the wedding ring workshop

Procedure & technical content
Consulting & Course Instruction

Before you decide, we will meet for a consultation at Galerie Schmuck Fritz, Dresdener Straße 20, 10999 Berlin-Kreuzberg. There, we will introduce you to the technique and show you suitable models so you can get a good impression of the aesthetics and possibilities.

Afterward, you decide which profile, material, and additional elements like stones your wedding rings should have. On this basis, we will determine the price and the date with the course instructor. Please plan on about an hour for this conversation.

Tooling fees & material costs

There are no costs for the tools. In our workshop, you can use everything you need for the wedding ring course.

We will bring the materials you have already paid for to your appointment—so there are no additional costs.

Cancellation & Rebooking

If you are ill or feeling unwell on the day of your course, that is no problem at all. In that case, we will simply reschedule your wedding ring workshop to the next available date.

Preparation & Safety Instructions

Every course begins with a brief introduction tailored to the specific instructor and the individual work processes. During this time, you will receive all the important information regarding materials and tools to ensure you work safely.

To ensure you get the best possible start to your wedding ring workshop, it is recommended that you pay attention to appropriate clothing and the general guidelines in advance:

Appropriate clothing

  • It is best to wear cotton (no synthetic fibers) because we work with fire
  • Wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, or bring an apron
  • Wear closed-toe, sturdy shoes
  • Tie back long hair

General guidelines

  • Please be punctual so we can start together
  • Put your phone away while working so you stay focused and it remains safe
  • Only handle workpieces with pliers or gloves after soldering — they are very hot
  • Be mindful of open flames and fire, which are used during work
  • Use chemicals (e.g., pickling solutions) only according to instructions and do not mix them
  • Keep your workspace clean to ensure it remains safe for everyone
  • Dispose of waste (e.g., metal shavings, polishing pastes) as instructed
